Justin and Udayan have been working on projects in the Computational Epidemiology Research Laboratory (CERL) at the University of North Texas (UNT). They entered their projects into various competitions and have achieved excellent standings.

Justin Zhao's project "Computational Modeling Infectious Diseases in Diverse Populations to Study the Dynamics of Epidemics" rated highly at the following competitions:
1. Intel Science Talent Search - Regional Semifinalist
2. Siemens Science Competition - Regional Semifinalist
3. Young Epidemiological Scholars - Regional Semifinalist
4. Intel Science and Engineering Fair - 2nd place regional, 2nd place state

Udayan Vaidya's project "A Novel Computational Framework for Modeling the Outbreak, Spread, and Containment of Dengue Fever" placed seventh in the Young Epidemiological Scholars competition.
